What you should know before we get started

Below is a button that will take you to my client portal. Once there, you can pick a time for us to chat and make sure it’s a good fit for both of us.

Once I receive your requested time, I’ll confirm our time to video chat. And send you a short online form to complete at least 48 hours before we talk (if possible).

I will end the video chat by asking if you want to move forward with services. But you don’t have to have an answer right then. You can take as much time as you want to think about it. If I think another therapist would be better able to help you, then I’ll let you know that.

If we decide to move forward, we will pick a tentative intake time. And I will then send you all of my forms to complete online.

I do everything online because it ensures that your information stays more confidential than if you were handing me pieces of paper. Also, it ensures that you have the ability to take as much time as you’d like on the forms. It also makes sure that nothing gets lost or accidentally destroyed.

I’ll warn you that my forms are long (as are portions of my website). Because I want to make sure that you have all of the information you need to make the best decision for you. I was a legal advocate for a long time, so I also want to make sure you have the time to read through all of the forms thoroughly. I don’t think you should sign anything without doing so.

You can ask me any questions you have after reviewing them. Or let me know if you run into problems completing them.

My system automatically notifies me once you’ve completed all of the forms.

If you decide that you are ok with all of my policies. And you get all of the paperwork completed at least 48 hours before our session, then I’ll confirm our intake appointment. If not, we’ll have to reschedule.
